Class 5 Driving Instructor to be a part of the ECDS team. Successful candidates for this position must be available on weekends and evenings to accommodate schedules. Our goal is to teach our students safe driving skills through innovative training. We’re looking for instructors with the ability to help us effectively deliver on a strong mission to turn new students into Edmonton’s safest drivers.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR DUTIES:

• Report to the Chief Instructor.

• Provide quality vehicle instruction to students, following AMA’s instruction requirements and customer service standards.

• Provide constructive feedback on student drivers’ ability, helping them to develop the confidence and skills necessary to become licensed, safe drivers for life.

• Responsible for Student scheduling and submission of required daily paperwork.

• Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines and policies for Driving Instructors.

NOW HIRING:

Driving instructor to develop effective training programs for new and existing drivers. You are a MELT Driving Instructor approved by Alberta Transportation. You have developed effective training programs for new and current Class 1 and 3 drivers.

What you will do day-to-day:

• Develop, update and provide continual improvement for training and assessment programs

• Work with operations to ensure consistent training process for all trainees

• Ability to adhere to all corporate policies and act as an advocate concerning these policies

• Work with recruiting to support the recruitment process through providing industry and equipment knowledge, engaging candidates directly and assisting in planned industry events

• Conduct and document required classroom and behind-the-wheel training for drivers and re-training as needed

• Conduct on-the-road evaluations

Experience:

• 2+ Years as Class 1 MELT and 3 Instructor
